The WecProbe Multipurpose Electronic Diagnostic tester is the latest piece of equipment that every mechanic and do-it-yourselfers should have in their toolbox. The patented technology is far superior to all noid light testers when it comes to diagnosing issues with any EFI system.
Noid Light Testers are the most commonly used test equipment for diagnosing whether or not there is an issue with a fuel injector. But in order for a fuel injector to work it must have two things; power and a switching signal. The Noid Light Tester can only tell whether or not you have both power and a switching signal, but it cannot tell you more.
In order to complete the test using a Noid Light Tester you must first disconnect the injector from its electrical connector and remove it. The tester is then inserted into the electrical socket to conduct the test.
The WecProbe uses a completely different process and does not require the injector to be disconnected in order to complete the test. This patented technology makes it far superior to any of the noid light style fuel injector testers on the market.
The WecProbe can be used as an injector pulse tester and it can show the presence of a pulsing negative signal as well as the presence of a constant positive signal. The results are displayed on the device by using a flashing green light and constant red light on the front of the tester. The constant red light indicates the constant positive signal and the flashing green light indicates the presence of the pulsing negative signal directly from the computer (ecm or ecu).
What really makes WecProbe even more superior to the noid light type tester is that it does not require the injector to be removed. It can be used while the injector is still connected and engine is running.
Wecprobe makes it simple to determine why your car won’t start. One of the most common reasons why a car, truck or boat won’t start is a bad battery. Two functions that are possible with the WecProbe are testing the battery and alternator.
If there are two lights on this means the voltage is in between the two lights.
In order for a car or truck to start and run properly, the battery has to be able to supply 12.6 VDC to the starter. In order for the battery to maintain a full charge, the vehicles charging system has to deliver a constant voltage from the alternator.
So when a vehicle is having a hard time starting, the battery is the first logical choice as the cause. In order to test the battery using the WecProbe battery tester, you hook the red and black clamps on to the corresponding colored posts on the vehicles battery.
By observing the lights on the front of the WecProbe you will see the voltage indicated by the LED and the number of volts.
To test the vehicle’s alternator to ensure that the battery is receiving an adequate supply of power, but still charging the battery, you must have the engine running and the cables hooked up to the corresponding battery posts. The indicating lights that correspond to the alternator test will light up according to the voltage being detected.
What really makes the WecProbe a superior diagnostic tool is that it is easy to use and it is very accurate. By simply clamping the test leads to the corresponding battery posts, in seconds you will be able to determine the status of batteries charge and whether or not the alternator is putting out enough voltage to charge the vehicles battery.
The results of the tests are displayed by the colored LED’s; Green, Amber and Red. During the battery testing the Green light will light up to indicate a good battery. During the alternator testing a green LED indicates good operation, amber indicates low voltage from alternator and red light indicates excessive voltage.
What is truly amazing about the WecProbe is that it combines the best of 5 different vehicle electrical system testers into one very compact device. No more needing to carry a tool box full of testers in order to diagnose what is wrong with your vehicles engine. As a multipurpose tester that can be used to diagnose faults in many different electrical systems within a wide range of vehicles from passenger cars, light and heavy duty trucks and boats.
If you are having a problem starting your car due to a bad battery, alternator or suspect a fuel injector problem, the WecProbe is capable of diagnosing the cause. Its patented technology can help you isolate a problem with your vehicles electronic fuel injector system without having to disconnect any of the injectors from the engine.
This represents a new and much more effective way for someone to diagnose whether or not an injector is the cause of the engine misfire or just not starting at all.
